Cup of Truth: Courts of Justice with Author Pete Babcock

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights invites guests to participate in a timely conversation on leadership, justice, and the responsibilities that accompany visibility.
Following decades of experience as an NBA executive with the Atlanta Hawks, San Diego Clippers, and Denver Nuggets, author Pete Babcock offers a behind-the-scenes perspective on how athletes, institutions, and movements intersect. His story extends beyond the game, exploring relationships with civil rights leaders such as John Lewis and his work helping players leverage their influence to drive meaningful change in their communities. Courts of Justice challenges the comfortable assumption that professional sports exist apart from society.
Join us for an engaging evening of dialogue, reflection, and insight, one that asks not only what justice looks like, but who has the power to shape it. A discussion, audience Q&A, and a book signing with Pete Babcock will follow the talk.
The Center is located at 100 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd., between the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola.
Doors open at 6pm. Located in the Shirley Clarke Franklin Pavilion at the Center.
