What are the Center’s safety policies?
Guns, knives, mace, and lighters are not allowed. Off-duty armed officers may not carry weapons on premises. Health and safety protocols follow CDC guidance.
Can I bring food or drinks into the center?
Yes, visitors are allowed to bring food and beverages into the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. Eating and drinking in the galleries is prohibited.
Can I take photos during my visit?
Photography is allowed for personal, non-commercial use except in the A Committed Life gallery featuring the King Collection. Flash, tripods, monopods, and blocking pathways are not allowed.
Do you have a lost and found?
Yes. Items found are held at the Visitor Services desk (main lobby) for 72 hours, then transferred to Security. The Center is not responsible for lost belongings.

Is smoking and vaping allowed in the Center?
No. The Center is a smoke free environment. Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes are prohibited.
Are service or support animals allowed?
Only licensed service animals are allowed in the museum.
Is the center ada accessible?
Yes. We meet all ADA requirements. Wheelchairs are available on-site at no cost, offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We offer handheld text/audio devices to support all guests.
Can I bring a backpack or luggage?
The Center does not offer storage. All belongings must stay with guests at all times.

The Center is located at 100 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30313 in Downtown Atlanta between the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola.
Using MARTA? Hop off at Civic Center Station and walk 8 minutes south.
Directions from Southbound I-75/85
- Exit 249C Williams St.
- Turn right onto Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd.
Directions from Northbound I-75/85
- Exit 249D Spring St./W. Peachtree St.
- Turn right onto Spring St. ramp toward Centennial Olympic Park Dr.
- Bear right onto Centennial Olympic Park Dr.
- Take immediate left at the traffic light onto Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd.
Directions from MARTA: Civic Center Station
- Exit at the Civic Center MARTA station
- Head right on West Peachtree St NW toward Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd
- Turn right onto Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd
- Cross the road at Centennial Olympic Park Drive so you are on the left side of traffic but continue on Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd.
- You will see The Center and its water features on your left at 100 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd.
- Use the stairs on the left of the building to reach the ticket office. The wheelchair accessible path to the ticket office is to the right of the building

- Exit at the Peachtree Center Station
- Head SW on Forsyth St. NW toward Carnegie Way
- Turn Right onto Carnegie Way
- Turn left onto Andrew Young International Blvd.
- Turn right onto Williams St.
- Turn left onto Simpson St.
- Turn right onto Centennial Olympic Park Dr.
- Turn right onto Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd.
- Use the stairs on the left of the building to reach the ticket office.
- The wheelchair accessible path to the ticket office is to the right of the building

bus parking & Instructions
Bus Parking in located at the Georgia World Congress Center Marshalling Yard, 404-223-4105. ALL BUS PARKING MUST BE PURCHASED ONLINE IN ADVANCE. Go to gwcc.parkingguide.com,
select Marshalling Yard, select daily, then enter the date and select GWCC Parking, enter the access code CHRM25, and press update. Bus parking is $25 per bus with the code. When asked for the license plate number, please enter the vehicle plate.

For a smooth arrival, rideshare services like Uber and Lyft can drop you off and pick you up directly at the Center. The designated bus lane also serves as the rideshare pickup and dropoff area, ensuring quick and convenient access to our entrance.

Parking deck with electric vehicle charging stations available. Two ChargePoint Level 2 stations are located on Level 3. Charging spaces may only be used when an active charging session is in progress.

Official parking deck with 1,600 secure, well-lit spaces attached to the Georgia Aquarium. Covered and rooftop parking available. Pre-paid parking is available online; bring your ticket for entry and re-scan upon exit. No re-entry allowed.
