Kidspiration 2023

What is Kidspiration?

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights presents, Kidspiration a fun and interactive summer program teaching kids ages 4-12 how to tap their power to influence the world around them and be active citizens. It incorporates various activities and performances that educate and entertain the youth about voting, freedom and equality, advocacy, and other topics related to civic engagement The program will be held one weekend per month at The Center: May 27, June 24, and July 29. Kidspiration is presented in partnership with PNC.  

Kidspiration Dates

May 27, 11am – last entry at 4pm

Let’s Vote Together! Voting Program 

Date: May 27th  

Time: 12 pm, 1pm, 2 pm, 3 pm 

Demographic: ages 4-12 

Location: Glenn Room and Pre-function fountain area 

Program Description: Children can take part in a voting simulation experience by registering to vote, casting their ballot in a mock election, and then being present for the results read. Additional activities include making protest posters and having a face painter paint social justice words or phrases on the face or hand. Outside there will be coloring books, stickers, and voting paraphernalia. In partnership with Fulton County &  New Georgia Project

June 24, 11am – last entry at 4pm

Freedom & Equality  

Date: June 24th  

Time: 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm 

Demographic: ages 4-12

Location: Third floor mezzanine and the Lobby. 

Program Description: Guests of all ages can participate in a collaborative freedom mural. In a new rendition of the Center’s infamous mural, individuals can add their own voices to the spirit of freedom and equality. Guests are encouraged to write, draw, paste, and tape a grid to create this work.
