ATLANTA, GA — The National Center for Civil and Human Rights announced today that The Home Depot Foundation is sponsoring Veterans Day Weekend, providing free admission for veterans and active-duty military personnel on November 7, 8, and 11, 2026.
As part of the celebration, accompanying family members will receive 20% off admission for up to four guests, creating an opportunity for military families to experience the Center’s immersive exhibitions and stories of courage, justice, and civic engagement together.
Veterans Day Weekend honors the service and sacrifice of those who have served our nation while providing space for reflection on the values of freedom, dignity, and equality. Through the generous support of The Home Depot Foundation, the Center can expand access to educational experiences that connect visitors to the ongoing pursuit of civil and human rights.
“Through our continued partnership with The Home Depot Foundation, we are honored to once again express our gratitude for service members’ bravery and sacrifice,” said Jill Savitt, President & CEO of the Center. “At our museum, service members and veterans will be able to see the powerful stories of those democratic rights they serve courageously to advance.”
During Veterans Day Weekend, guests can explore the Center’s award-winning exhibitions, which connect the history of the American Civil Rights Movement to contemporary human rights issues around the world. Through powerful storytelling and immersive experiences, visitors are encouraged to reflect on the role individuals play in advancing justice and protecting the rights of others.
“The Home Depot Foundation is committed to improving the homes and lives of our nation’s veterans and their families,” said Erin Izen, Executive Director of The Home Depot Foundation. “Veterans have sacrificed in service to our country, and we are proud to help ensure they can experience and engage with the stories and ideals that continue to shape our nation. Through our partnership with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, we are honored to provide veterans and active-duty military personnel with free access to a place that preserves history and encourages reflection, learning, and appreciation for the freedoms they helped defend.”
