Black History Month: Black Art

Kick off Black History Month by experiencing the power of Black art as a force for expression, resistance, and change. Guests can discover how Black artists have shaped history through creativity and storytelling while participating in hands-on, family-friendly activities throughout the Center. 

Activities Include 

  • Black History Month scavenger hunt (10:00 AM – 3:30 PM) 
  • Morning storytime and activity (10:30 AM – 11:30 AM) 
  • Craftivism activation led by a Black guest artist, highlighting art as a form of protest
