As a part of our celebration of the 71st anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we partnered with Love Beyond Walls to host a program in discussing ending homelessness in Atlanta and what we can do to get there.

The Center and Love Beyond Walls invite the community to join in a dialogue on homelessness and supporting the needs of some of America’s “forgotten” population. After a self-guided tour of the Dignity Museum: Small Exhibition, participants will hear from a panel of advocates who are working to affirm dignity in individuals experiencing homelessness. Following the panel, there will be an interactive workshop designed to educate the community on available resources and how to support those of us battling homelessness.

Bring an Item to Donate to Someone in Need!

Items include, but are not limited to:

  • hygiene products (toothbrush, toothpaste, feminine care products, etc.)
  • non-perishable food
  • blankets
  • socks
  • chapstick

We will be sorting donated items at the program to later be distributed by Love Beyond Walls. You can bring them any time to The Center and our administrative offices in the American Cancer Society building.
