Atlanta, GA – The Atlantian Revival is a news magazine created by a group of writers incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) in Atlanta. From 1939 to the 1960s, the Atlantian – The Atlantian Revival’s namesake – was a leader in content and design for prison publications. This fellowship will cover the cost of printing 1,500 copies of the paper’s Spring 2025 edition, which focuses on Restorative Justice, for distribution within FCI. In the coming months, the paper’s leaders plan to host trainings and healing circles within the prison, solidifying the unique and uniquely empowering nature of the newly resurrected publication. Their Summer 2024 issue can be found here.
