The National Center for Civil and Human Rights and the Metropolitan Atlanta Alumni Association of Phi Beta Kappa, invite you to a public lecture from Dr. Michael Lomax, President of the United Negro College Fund titled, New Challenges for the Old South.

In this engaging conversation moderated by Dr. Kali-Ahset Amen, assistant director of the James Weldon Johnson Institute for the Study of Race and Difference at Emory University, Lomax challenges and stimulates awareness on the underlying causes of civil unrest today in relation to the still unacknowledged issues of racism, white supremacy and ethnic distrust that divide the nation, particularly here in the south.

This 2018 Distinguished Phi Beta Kappa Lecture is free and open to the public.

The program will end with a Q&A Session. You may submit your questions ahead of time by using #NCOS on Twitter @ctr4chr or posting your question on the Facebook event page.
