[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1507749235099{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Bread, a haunting play set in Dallas in 2016, dramatizes an African American family grasping at the American Dream. Ruth and James await the birth of their second child as their oldest son, Junior, prepares for college. Then James’s brother gets out of prison and needs a place to stay. With great characters, contemporary ethical dilemmas, music, and humor, this play shows how difficult and ongoing the goal of security can become.

Atlanta’s award-winning Alliance Theatre and the Center for Civil and Human Rights come together to launch their new partnership: ALLIANCE(S): , a quarterly series that will use performance to catalyze conversations about today’s most pressing human rights issues. Each program will include a play reading by some of Atlanta’s most celebrated artists, followed by a conversation with the audience.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
