[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Join us on March 8 and share your ideas about how girls and women can empower each other in their communities. The event opens with an introduction to women’s roles in shaping modern history (including a list of sheroes featured in the exhibitions of The Center), followed by a panel presentation from a diverse group of influential women leaders from Atlanta’s business, education and faith communities. Guests will participate in an “incubator” session where attendees work together in small groups to suggest solutions to obstacles facing women and girls in 2017. Participants will also have a call-to-action moment to engage with nonprofit partners whose programs focus on empowering girls and women.
Topics include:
- How to help girls achieve in school
- Increasing interest in civic engagement
- Encouraging girls to pursue STEM paths
- Opening pathways to leadership for women in business and communities – locally, nationally and internationally
