Dr. Quisa D. Foster is an accomplished fundraising strategist, nonprofit leader, and relationship builder with more than two decades of experience in institutional advancement, corporate partnerships, and mission-driven philanthropy. As Chief Development Officer for the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, she leads the organization’s comprehensive development strategy, cultivating transformational gifts, expanding philanthropic networks, and securing the resources needed to advance the Center’s vital mission.

Dr. Foster’s career spans leadership roles in higher education, nonprofit management, and corporate engagement, where she has raised millions of dollars in support of scholarships, capital campaigns, and community-based initiatives. She is known for her ability to mobilize people and resources around bold visions, create dynamic partnerships, and build high-performing teams that deliver measurable results.

Before joining the Center, Dr. Foster served as Senior Director of Partner Development at the National Black MBA Association, where she raised nearly $1 million in sponsorship dollars in just over a year, brought in new national corporate partners, and launched high-impact engagement events. She also spent over a decade in higher education, leading comprehensive campaigns, securing major gifts, and mentoring the next generation of nonprofit and development professionals.

A collaborative and mission-driven leader, Dr. Foster is committed to building strong relationships—both internally and externally—that drive sustainable growth. She believes deeply in the power of storytelling to connect donors to purpose and in equipping her team with the tools, systems, and strategies to thrive in a complex fundraising environment.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Foster is a two-time graduate of Clark Atlanta University, earning her Bachelor’s and Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership, and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix. She is also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a dedicated community leader who serves on nonprofit boards and mentors emerging leaders in the nonprofit sector.

Proudly born and raised in Atlanta, Dr. Foster is deeply committed to uplifting the city that shaped her. Her passion for advancing equity, inspiring action, and building pathways for opportunity is rooted in her love for her community and her belief that Atlanta’s legacy as a leader in civil and human rights must continue to thrive for generations to come.
