In the wake of local movements towards truth-telling, justice, and healing, the Athens Black History Curriculum Collective is taking steps to memorialize the resilience, creativity, and joy of Athens’ Black community by creating curricular materials centering our local Black history for use in our area schools. This fellowship is bringing to life a long held dream of enriching our schools’ curricula with histories that will help students to feel seen and known – an incalculable gift!
