Jim Crow America: Racial Justice in 2017

Explore the residual effect of policies reminiscent of Jim Crow Laws on the criminal justice system and communities of color. Following a welcoming reception, the program features a presentation and interactive roundtable discussion with the Georgia Justice Project and other community organizations. Topics will be focused on criminal justice policy change and community policing reform.

Panelists include:

  • Doug Ammar, Executive Director of the Georgia Justice Project
  • Xochitl Bervera, Director for the Racial Justice Action Center
  • Christopher Bruce, Policy Counsel for the ACLU of Georgia
  • Major Darin Schierbaum, Commander of the Atlanta Police Training Section

Food and seating is first come, first served.
