Join The Center for a pre-recorded conversation with George C. Wolfe, Director of the Netflix film, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and curator of The Center’s Rolls Down Like Water exhibit. This discussion will feature clips from the film to explore the use of art and music as resistance as well as the roles art and music play in the documentation of Black History. Participants will also gain a deeper understanding of the film’s themes and how these themes connect to The Center and its exhibitions. This discussion can be found on our YouTube channel and will be shared across our social media channels.
