Volunteer Information Page

We’re so glad you’re interested in serving on our volunteer team! We’ve created this page for prospective volunteers so you can access our important information. If you have any questions please reach out to David Hopings, dhopings@civilandhumanrights.org

FORMS

Background Check – This form must be submitted and processed before you can serve at The Center. If you would like to fill it out ahead of time and bring it with you to training that will be very helpful. Volunteers are required to pay for their own background check at a cost of $14.

Volunteer Program Agreement – While we want to make serving at The Center as easy as possible, we do have certain standards for our volunters. Please check out the agreement to be sure you’re ready to be a strong contributor to the team.

VSA Georgia’s “Interacting with People with Disabilities” – The Center is an all-inclusive organization, and we want to make sure we are prepared to serve anyone who visits The Center.

OPTIONAL MATERIALS FOR TRAINING

Volunteer Training – Volunteer Basics and The Center – Notes versions of our training presentations that you may print out and bring with you if you prefer to take notes.

Civil Rights and Human Rights Gallery Summaries – Summaries of our two largest galleries, good for preparing to tour The Center for the first time, or using to refresh your memory after training.
