SUMMARY:Unveiling Truth: 1906 Commemorative Mural & Community Gathering
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the unveiling of a powerful new mural commemorating the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre and honoring the resilience of a community that has endured and thrived.  \nThe 119th commemoration is more than remembrance—it is a call to truth-telling\, resilience\, and transformation. Created by renowned Atlanta-based artist Fabian Williams\, this mural stands as both art and resistance. Each brushstroke honors lives lost\, the strength of those who endured\, and the possibilities of a more just future.  \nSet in Historic South Atlanta\, once known as Brownsville\, the event invites neighbors\, families\, and community partners to reflect\, remember\, and celebrate a neighborhood that has long been a symbol of strength in the face of systemic injustice.  \nCome witness history\, connect with community\, and join Atlanta’s ongoing journey toward justice and healing.
