Tomi Berry

“Tomi” Berry has more than 25 years of professional experience in human resources management and facilitation, including leadership development, diversity/equity/inclusion/belonging, hospitality/customer service, food safety, branding, presentation skills, safety leadership, women’s leadership, coaching, and team building. Through these areas, she is experienced in staff and management training, organization management, adult learning theory, emotional intelligence, and virtual learning. Her Fortune 500 Corporate work includes Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia as an Organization Development Consultant for 3.5 years. During her 15-year career with Marriott International based in Washington, DC, she was Director of Human Resources and National Training Manager. She also served as a Director of Training for the Arthritis Foundation.

Since 2007, she has consulted with and provided learning solutions for the Arthritis Foundation, CARE, Inc., General Electric, Freddie Mac, CNBC, Mercer University, SABIC, Synchrony Financial, The Coca-Cola Company, Chik-Fil-A, Salesforce, and Catholic Health East. Additionally, she had retained a third-party contract agreement with BNSF Railway through Steinbrecher and Associates from 2009 – 2012, doing coaching and facilitation of their engineering safety leadership program around the country. She consulted with Leading Women, providing women’s leadership coaching and facilitation to Verizon, Ansell, Digitas, and DHL in the U.S. globally. Tomi worked directly with Susan Colantuono, author of “No Ceiling, No Walls: What Women Haven’t Been Told,” on which this work was based.

Tomi is currently CEO of EquityQuest Consulting, a team of leaders doing healing leadership DEI work using horses in the process.

Tomi earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania. She has he memberships with The National Association of African Americans in Human Resources and The Association for Talent Development (ATD – formerly ASTD). She also volunteers for various non-profit organizations with projects involving music and the arts in Atlanta.
