Senior Director of Finance

Lavette Dow-Jones is the Sr. Director of Finance at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Inc. Her career spans over 20 years across various for-profit and non-profit organizations, serving in positions in the finance, accounting, and tax areas of expertise. She leads the Center’s Finance department with a focus on financial stability, innovation, and transparency. Prior to her current role, she was the Director of Finance and Administration at the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership, where she revamped the business model for the organization allowing it to carry out its mission by being more agile to the community it served. She holds a BBA from Georgia State University as well as dual master’s degrees, MBA/MDiv, from Mercer University. Originally from New York City, she moved to Atlanta in 2001. Lavette enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and three sons. In her spare time, she loves to read books and minister to young adults.
