Cookies are small pieces of information that a Web site places on your computer’s hard drive for tracking purposes. NCCHR uses the cookie information it receives to deliver content specific to user interests, to improve efficiency of customer service on our online subscription-based sites and, if approved by the user, to save passwords. If you wish to disable cookies, the privacy settings on most browsers will allow you to do so. Please note: if you set your browser to disable cookies, you may not be able to access certain areas on the Site.
INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM VISITORS
The Site collects information from the user when such information is specifically and knowingly provided from the user. Information that could be requested or used to contact you may include, but is not limited to: full name, postal address, phone number, email address, financial information and demographic information (ZIP code, home town, gender, purchase history information and age). Nowhere on the Site do we knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13.
LINKS AND THIRD-PARTY PRIVACY POLICIES
The Site may contain links to Web sites not operated by NCCHR. NCCHR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PRIVACY PRACTICES OR CONTENT OF THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES, INCLUDING WEBSITES OPERATED BY AFFILIATED ENTITIES. These links do not imply endorsement of the entity linked to our Site. We provide links to third-party sites for your convenience. Please review their privacy policies before providing information about yourself to third-party entities, as NCCHR will not be held responsible for their actions.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
NCCHR uses information collected from users to deliver requested services, to contact you regarding updates to your purchased items and services and for marketing and promotional purposes. NCCHR may occasionally inform users of articles, events, new services, changes to our hours of operation and other third-party product and service offers that we believe our users will find interesting. You are given the option to opt out of such mailings upon registration.
USE OF FINANCIAL INFORMATION
When you make a purchase on the Site, you consent to NCCHR providing your financial information to our service providers and to such third parties as we deem necessary to process your transactions, as well as to your credit card issuer for their purposes. These third parties include the credit card companies and banking institutions used to process the transaction.
NCCHR will not send you promotional offers if you do not opt in, but we may send you emails for administrative reasons regardless of your choice to opt in. If you choose to receive communications, you have the option to change your election at any time. Please note: your opt-out preferences may not be effective in certain instances where you agreed to receive program- and/or content-specific communications.
NCCHR uses security measures consistent with standard industry practices to help protect against loss, misuse and alteration of the personally identifiable information under its control. User information is encrypted and protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption software to prevent others from intercepting and reading the data sent between your computer and the Site. In addition, all sensitive information is maintained in locked, secure facilities, whether on NCCHR-owned premises or those of the server providers with which we contract.
