The National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Inc. is a non-profit world class organization in the heart of Downtown Atlanta.   The Center educates visitors on the American Civil Rights Movement and contemporary global human rights issues, and inspires them to become personally involved.

The CEO/President is seeking a summer intern to support the day to day task as well as special projects.

Position Description: The Center is a fast-paced environment.  The ideal candidate is computer savvy, deadline and detail oriented, highly flexible and a self-starter.  Task includes scheduling meetings and preparing materials for meetings. With proven track record you may be asked to assist with Board communication. This is a great opportunity to work with our inspiring leader and learn the ins and outs of running a nonprofit organization.  The position reports to the CEO/President.

Only candidates entering their junior or senior year in an undergraduate degree program, recent graduates or graduate school students will be considered:

 

Time: The hours and time commitment are flexible (between the hours of 9am-5pm) but to be set between the supervisor and the internship candidate prior to the start of the internship with no more than 20 hours a week
