Freedom Expressions ATL
Atlanta, GA – Freedom Expressions ATL uses the arts to raise awareness and spark action on ending human trafficking with indoor and outdoor exhibitions, film screenings, and participatory art on college campuses and at the Center for Civil and Human Rights. “We hope to inspire youth to become engaged in this 21st century human rights issue,” states Deborah Richardson, Interim CEO of The National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Inc.
The next step in the campaign is a student convening at the Center for Civil and Human Rights in December. The International Human Trafficking Institute (IHTI) has partnered with ArtWorks for Freedom to produce 'Freedom Expressions ATL,' an awareness campaign about human trafficking and modern day slavery. Freedom Expressions ATL has four arts components which will be featured throughout November and hosted on campuses in metro Atlanta.
