Release: The Center receives “Best in Atlanta” Recognition and Welcomes New Staff

Atlanta, GA—March 14, 2014 – The Center for Civil and Human Rights is pleasedto receive a “Best in Atlanta” recognition and continues to add strong team members as momentum builds for its opening this summer.

The Center received joint recognition with the College Football Hall of Fame, as the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2013 “Best in Atlanta” Real Estate. The awards ceremony took place March 6th at the Atlanta History Center.

“We brought together an outstanding team in the design-­‐architectural and engineering community when we selected The Freelon Group and HOK to collaborate on the building design,” said Doug Shipman, CEO. “Both groups understood the global significance of this project and executed a building concept that recognized the importance of the vision and inspiration the Center for Civil and Human Rights was brought to Atlanta to evoke.”

The Center, a museum-­‐like experience coming to Downtown Atlanta this summer on Pemberton Place, continues to bring on-­‐board new additions to its fast-­‐growing team.
