International Human Trafficking Institute Program Coordinator, Paid Internship

ROLE

Under the direction of the Executive Director of the International Human Trafficking Institute (IHTI), the Program Coordinator will develop and expand social networking functions to facilitate communication among collaborative partners and the broader community. Working with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights resourcing IHTI project needs, maintaining the IHTI project schedules, and executing the duties that allow these projects to continue.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and expand social networking functions to facilitate communication among collaborative partners and the broader community
  • Work closely with NCCHR in scheduling, invoicing and other project needs
  • Manage online resources and IHTI web presence
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of IHTI programs, trainings, and events
  • Edit IHTI promotional materials and curricula
  • Maintain IHTI calendar
  • Become a subject matter resource on human trafficking, identify trends and best practices to inform the work
  • Network with collaborative partners and assist in expanding the reach to new relationships
  • Identify additional community resources to advance the goals of IHTI
REQUIREMENTS
  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • Currently enrolled (or will enroll next term) in a Graduate degree program
  • A minimum of three years’ work experience in a related field
  • Experience in leading and or participating in organizing for social change
  • An understanding of the issue of human trafficking
  • Experience working with diverse groups
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to perform research using internet and other tools
  • Critical and creative thinking and strategic planning ability
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication
  • Maintain a professional and considerate demeanor
  • Have a strong work ethic; be collaborative, conscientious and results-oriented
  • Be motivated to learn, and to display flexibility when required
  • Be honest, trustworthy, exhibit sound judgment, and abide by strict confidentiality guidelines
