Inspiring Justice: Artist Taking Action

  • This events has passed.

This program aired Friday, September 18th, 2020 @ 12 EST

Recently we noticed a new mural from a local artist prominently featuring the phrase: “Painting Ain’t Policy. Criminal Justice Reform NOW”. The piece sparked a conversation about the connections (or lack thereof) between inspiring art and audience action. To investigate the concept further, we’ve assembled a group of artists from various disciplines to discuss their past experiences, as well as new methods they’re using to spread messages of social justice and bring about tangible change.
