Through this inspiring story\, young readers will explore themes of resilience\, identity\, and the importance of honoring heritage.  \nAfter the reading\, children can participate in a hands-on activity inspired by the book’s themes. Designed for families and young learners\, this interactive experience encourages creativity\, reflection\, and connection while helping guests discover how stories can teach us about ourselves and one another.  \nReadings take place at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. in the children’s gallery. \n\nAre you a local author with a story to share? As part of this season of giving\, guests of all ages are invited to create a handmade bracelet and a message of encouragement to share with a future visitor. Through this simple act of creativity\, participants can leave behind a meaningful reminder that small gestures can have a lasting impact.  \nAfter creating and donating a bracelet\, guests will receive a bracelet and message made by a previous participant. Throughout the month\, the Bracelet Exchange Project will grow into a chain of connection\, linking visitors through shared messages of hope\, empathy\, and belonging.
