“There is power of life and death in the tongue”

Join the Soul Food Cypher and the Center for Civil and Human Rights as we explore the intersection of Hip Hop and the Civil Rights Movement! The intersection is right here in the City of Atlanta, home to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and some of the world’s top selling artists of the past decade. Both use their voices to move crowds and speak for their communities. This event is a testament to the power of voice and movement.

Guests will experience the “Cypher” spoken word performances as we speak life into the modern movement for social justice.
