Express Yourself: Social Justice Spoken Word

[vc_row][vc_column][mk_fancy_title size=”24″ font_family=”none”]The Center for Civil and Human Rights is pleased to provide an opportunity for emerging artists in Fulton County and surrounding communities to address today’s most pressing human rights issues through artistic expression. [/mk_fancy_title][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1541197581178{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Guests will experience spoken word and musical selections from local artists, while reflecting on critical human rights moments throughout The Center. This evening program provides a unique opportunity to engage young professionals and performance art enthusiast, as they explore the interconnectedness between performance and social justice.  

Starting at 6:00 PM, guests are invited to participate in a self-guided tour of The Center’s exhibitions. The first 75 guests will receive 1 complimentary drink ticket. Additional refreshments available for purchase on site. All live performances start at 7:00 PM.

Past artists featured include Rapper Killer Mike, SoulFoodCypher – Atlanta premier freestyle rap cypher, artist Nubia Lives and poet Queshan Hayes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”36064″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
