POSITION TITLE:                   Development INTERN

WORK SCHEDULE:                TDB 

REPORTS TO:                         EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

PROGRAM & EVENTS MANAGEMENT:

Create vision for, plan, organize and manage Center events, programs, convening’s and dialogues
Manage event logistics including volunteer coordination and collaborating with Communications and Development staff as needed and create follow-up plan when appropriate
Ensure event publicity, invitations and RSVP processes are in place with Communications staff
Provide programming data and metrics to Development Staff for grant funded programs
Attend and work at Center events as schedule allows

 

WOMEN & GIRLS COLLABORATIVE:

Organize collaborative meetings as needed to support Center initiatives and programs
Maintain accurate and up to date collaborative contact list
Secure partner organization support to contribute to Center sponsored events

 

EDUCATIONAL ALLIANCE EFFORTS:

Assist in efforts to bolster Center events to the educational community and its stakeholders
Manage efforts to secure insight/input from educational community on Center initiatives

 

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT:

Help ensure collateral folders are available at all times for use by Center executives when volunteers are unavailable
Responsible for helping cover front desk reception and phone when receptionist is absent

 

DATA ORGANIZATION:

Maintain accurate files for events and programs
Ensure event/program engagement cards, comments cards and other participant contact information is shared with Development and Communications
