Black History Month Programming

The Center will be hosting several virtual programs with activities for the entire family. This Black History Month, The Center’s theme is “Truth & Transformation: Confronting the Past to Create An Equitable Future”. Center Activities: Sunday, February 27th

Join The Center on Sunday, February 27 from 12-4pm for a day full of activities in celebration of Black History Month.

  • Scavenger Hunt: For our younger visitors, enjoy a scavenger hunt that will take you throughout The Center to explore and learn more about important figures in Black History. There are two versions of the scavenger hunt available, and there will be an opportunity to check your answers at the end of your self-guided tour.
  • Musical Performances: At 12:30pm and 2:30pm, enjoy musical selections on the harp from Amari Carpenter, Center Volunteer. Performances will be located in the Mezzanine (3rd floor).
  • Giveaways: The Center will provide giveaways to visitors on a first come, first served basis. Enjoy books, buttons, stickers and more! Grab your giveaways in the Mezzanine (3rd floor) while supplies last.

All activities are included in the price of general admission.
