The Center for Civil and Human Rights is a 42,000 square foot facility in the heart of downtown Atlanta located at Pemberton Place, adjacent to Centennial Olympic Park, The World of Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium. The AV/IT Coordinator reports to the AV Manager and is responsible for coordinating, and maintaining the Audio Visual and IT area to ensure that NCCHR has the necessary equipment when needed.


Complies and maintains accurate inventory
Ensure proper functioning of information systems, including monitoring and maintenance
Troubleshoot issues
Coordinates technical production tasks related to the Center
Responds to the day-to –day technical duties associated with AV/IT
Maintains current knowledge of AV/IT equipment
Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
Maintains accurate records and files related to work performed and prepares logs, reports and statistics on AV/IT equipment activity
Analyze metrics to evaluate IT system performance and recommend improvements.
Help train staff on use of hardware, software and audio visual equipment
Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum of 3+ years in information technology  or audio visual
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
High aptitude of technology
Capable of communicating “technology speak” in  simple terms
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Excellent planning skills
Capable of managing multiple priorities
Ability to work weekends and holidays
High level of proficiency with AV systems architecture. High level of proficiency in working from various equipment/system (TV/VCR,DVD players, Epson & Proxima LCD projectors, ELMO overhead transparencies, Polycom video and conference call equipment, Dell desktop/laptop computer hardware, speakers, microphones, Dictaphones, transcribers, video cameras, etc.)
Basic understanding of networking technologies required
