The National Center for Civil and Human Rights and its CEO Doug Shipman received great honors at the 2013 Annual Hard Hat Awards Banquet hosted by the National Association of Minority Contractors. At the event held on Friday, October 4, 2013, the Center was presented with the President's Award, mainly for the hard work that CEO Doug Shipman and his team at the Center have put in providing contract opportunities for minority-owned businesses and firms. The Association also recognized Shipman for his grand education and good press, as well as for the service and education the Center will bring to Atlanta, the state, and beyond.
